Prospecting for leads is a very important aspect of finding and converting MLM leads when building your business. In reality, the retailing of the product does not generate much money. An important part of the prospecting procedure is practicing what you are going to say. You can be assured that if you just dial up the phone and start pitching without a plan you will not be very successful. All effective sales people write a sales pitch that they then repeat over and over again. You need to be on the mark at all times.

A good way to get comfortable talking to people is to role play before you actually start pitching. Instruct the other person on some questions to ask you and then practice your responses. One trick is to have the other person ask some questions you are not ready for so you can practice thinking and talking.

Body language is an important aspect of a successful meeting with your prospective network marketing leads. When you cross your arms or hands or legs it sends the wrong message to the prospect. It makes us look nervous and guarded which in turn causes the lead to feel the same way. It is imperative that you make the other person feel as comfortable as you can.

Make sure your body language is open when you are talking to a lead. This means don’t cross any of your limbs. Keep your arms and hands not crossed and apart. This tells the other person you are allowing them into your space. You are being approachable instead of standoffish. It is important that the other person feel you want to be with them so they will feel comfortable.

The way you talk is an important ingredient is putting others at ease. Listen to the speech patterns of the other person and try to speak the same way. Speed of talking is something that is easy to control if you pay attention. If the prospect speaks slowly then you need to slow down. If you potential member usually talks quickly then you will drive them crazy by speaking at a slow speed.

Getting the other person to feel at ease is the goal. Matching their speed of talking is a great way to do that. By matching the speed of their speaking you can bring the person towards you. They feel close to you and thus they will be more likely to believe you. If they don’t believe your talk you will never recruit them to the program.

A good network marketing lead is not something to take lightly. You will actually only find a few people who are great at this business. You need to be able to convert these people to your program because they will help you to build your business.
